Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of songguesser.org and the Song Guesser music quiz. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Song Guesser Service

Song Guesser is a free browser game that plays short third-party song previews and asks you to identify the correct title. A standard Quick Quiz contains ten rounds, four answer choices per round, time-based scoring, and a final result. The site may also offer curated artist, genre, and decade quizzes.

Public Quick Quiz play is anonymous and does not require an account. Scores, timers, rankings, catalog availability, and quiz rules are entertainment features, not certified assessments. We may correct questions, adjust scoring, replace unavailable media, or change the catalog when necessary.

Acceptable Use

You may use Song Guesser for lawful, personal entertainment. You must not:

• interfere with the site, its database, playback, scoring, or security;
• automate answers, scrape the catalog at an unreasonable rate, or evade rate limits;
• submit false or abusive question reports;
• attempt to access another user's session or non-public administration tools;
• introduce malware or exploit vulnerabilities; or
• use the service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

We may limit or block activity that threatens the game, its providers, or other users.

Music, Artwork, and Third-Party Services

Song previews, cover artwork, artist names, track names, Apple Music links, and related trademarks belong to Apple, record labels, artists, publishers, or other respective rights holders. Song Guesser does not claim ownership of that third-party content.

Preview media is requested from Apple-hosted URLs and may be unavailable, changed, restricted by location, or removed without notice. Song Guesser does not sell, download, or re-host Apple preview audio. Your use of Apple services and content is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Apple is not a sponsor of or affiliated with Song Guesser.

You may not copy, download, redistribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit third-party audio or artwork through Song Guesser except as separately allowed by the applicable rights holder or law.

Intellectual Property

The Song Guesser name, original interface, game logic, written copy, and site software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the public service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the service or any third-party content.

If you believe material accessible through Song Guesser infringes your rights, contact us with the affected URL, the work claimed, your contact information, and enough detail for us to review the request.

Availability and Changes

We provide Song Guesser on an “as available” basis. Audio providers, network conditions, browser policies, maintenance, catalog review, or security events may interrupt or change the service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features without guaranteeing that a particular song, quiz, score, or result will remain available.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Song Guesser is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that every clip, answer, score, or external link will always be correct or available.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Song Guesser and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or when necessary to protect the service, providers, rights holders, or users.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Song Guesser changes. The revision date at the top shows when they were last updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
